Russell Tyre Francis is an experienced writer/filmmaker passionate about crafting compelling narratives across various mediums. Francis has been featured as a Novel Slices 6th Issue Writing Contest Finalist for his YA Fantasy manuscript, a highlighted director at the Culver City Film Festival in 2019, and a guest columnist for the CultureSlate entertainment news site.

Francis is skilled in developing original concepts, executing upon tight deadlines, and collaborating with production teams to bring stories to life. His professional work includes projects at Jubilee Media, Sony Pictures Animation, and Warner Bros Pictures Animation. He strives to create projects that resonate and inspire positive change.​

Francis has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Film Production from East Carolina University. He loves spending time with family and friends, practicing storyboarding, and cheering for the New Orleans Saints.
